Product Tips - Inserting Images for Multiple Language Options

With Clicktools, it is very easy to use an imported image to replace a standard web button. If you are deploying your survey in multiple languages using the same URL, you may want to create a different button style for each language, such as this:

Here's how it is done:
  • Create your images and make sure they all have the same file extension (jpeg, gif, etc.).
  • Save the images with a generic file name (i.e., “Submit”). For the images that are to be displayed against the different languages, you'll need to add an underscore “_” and the 2 letter ISO code after the generic file title. This allows Clicktools to identify the language variant (for example, “Submit” for English; “Submit_es” for Spanish or “Submit_fr” for French).
  • Import all the new images into Clicktools.
  • Within your form, when assigning the replacement button style, only apply the images that contain the generic title (i.e. “Submit”).
Now when you deploy your survey in English and Spanish for example, the images that contain “_es” as part of their title will be displayed when taking the survey in the Spanish varient.
